Soccer Recap: Rio Grande Takes a Loss

Rio Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Manzano Monarchs, falling 11-0. If Rio Grande were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to Manzano when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rio Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Manzano, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.

Rio Grande didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Atrisco Heritage Academy on the 4th. As for Manzano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Sandia on the 4th.
