Volleyball Recap: Buchanan Finds Playoff Glory Versus San Luis Obispo

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Buchanan had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the San Luis Obispo Tigers by a score of 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won five matchups in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: San Luis Obispo scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Keira Nelson paced Buchanan's offense, picking up 20 kills. Nelson got some help from Avery Dedekian and her 31 assists. Samantha Aaron controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 33-8. As for San Luis Obispo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 27-7.

Coming up, Buchanan will square off against Clovis West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Luis Obispo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
