King's Ridge Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against The King's Academy Knights as they made off with a 31-6 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-0.

Austin Drye had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Patrick Zito, who rushed for 52 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: King's Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.
