King's Ridge Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past The King's Academy Knights 31-6. The Tigers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Austin Drye had a dynamite game, rushing for 86 yards and three TDs. Another player making a difference was Patrick Zito, who rushed for 52 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: King's Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.
