Southcrest Christian suffered their closest loss since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Ascension Academy Cardinals by a score of 51-49. Southcrest Christian has struggled against Ascension Academy recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Southcrest Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-15. As for Ascension Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Southcrest Christian is facing Holy Cross at the right time seeing as Holy Cross is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Ascension Academy, they will face off against All Saints Episcopal School on Tuesday. All Saints Episcopal School will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ascension Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
