Volleyball Recap: Pueblo West Starts off Right with Win over Ponderosa

Pueblo West took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ponderosa Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cyclones have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pueblo West was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-13.

Pueblo West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jillian Millirons, who had seven aces and six digs. Those six digs gave Millirons a new career-high. Bricelyn Baudino was another key player, getting eight digs and two assists.

Coming up, Pueblo West will face off against Air Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ponderosa, they will challenge Arapahoe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
