Volleyball Recap: Pueblo West Starts Season with Victory Against Ponderosa + How To Watch

Pueblo West took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ponderosa Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cyclones, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pueblo West took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-13.

Pueblo West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jillian Millirons, who had seven aces and six digs. Those six digs gave Millirons a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bricelyn Baudino, who had eight digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good server: Pueblo West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponderosa only served five aces.

Pueblo West has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Air Academy on the 28th. As for Ponderosa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Arapahoe on the 28th.
