Football Game Preview: Conrad Weiser Scouts vs. Unionville Longhorns

The Conrad Weiser Scouts will head out to face off against the Unionville Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Conrad Weiser is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Conrad Weiser came up short against Cocalico and fell 27-17. While the Scouts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 14-7 in the first quarter.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Javien Rivera, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one score. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 71 yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Unionville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Sun Valley with a sharp 42-21 victory on Friday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Vanguards are ranked 358th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Conrad Weiser now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Unionville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Conrad Weiser won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, slipping by Unionville 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scouts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
