Volleyball Recap: St. Pius X Starts Season with Win Against Waltrip

St. Pius X had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Waltrip Rams 3-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Pius X was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-4, 25-6.

St. Pius X was led to victory by Addi Kyle and Carolina Lopez. Kyle had 14 aces and five digs, while Lopez had 16 assists and ten aces. Those 14 aces gave Kyle a new career-high.

St. Pius X will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Frassati Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th. Waltrip has already played their next match (against Northside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
