Volleyball Recap: Wayne Trace Takes a Loss

If Wayne Trace was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jefferson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 3-1 to the Fairview Apaches on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled against the Apaches recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Lexi Moore paced Wayne Trace's offense, picking up 15 kills. Moore got some help from Olivia Zartman and her 16 assists.

Fairview can attribute much of their success to Liberty Vogelsong, who had 15 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Vogelsong a new career-high.

Wayne Trace now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Fairview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Wayne Trace has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Ayersville on the 9th. Fairview has also already played their next matchup (against Hicksville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
