Soccer Recap: Deer Valley Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matches, Deer Valley finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the Estrella Foothills Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Skyhawks have struggled against Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Deer Valley's goal came courtesy of Tori Wefel-Hayes, who's now up to 26 this season.

Deer Valley's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-4-1. As for Estrella Foothills, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-8-1.

Deer Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Cactus on the 5th. As for Estrella Foothills, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Westview on the 5th.
