Three must be Nichols's lucky number: they beat Sacred Heart Academy with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Vikings beat the Sharks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

Nichols saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynn Bacak, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Avery Gallo was another, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Nichols' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Nichols does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against St. Anthony's on the 15th.
