Softball Recap: Park Crossing Wins Going Away Against Highland Home

Park Crossing made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Highland Home, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Park Crossing Thunderbirds were the clear victor by a 24-4 margin over the Highland Home Flying Squadron on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunderbirds considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

C Reese was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of K Savage, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory got Park Crossing back to even at 1-1. As for Highland Home, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Crossing will face off against Autauga Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Home, they are taking a road trip to take on Andalusia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
