Baseball Game Preview: Plainview Bears vs. North Jackson Chiefs

The Plainview Bears will head out on the road to face off against the North Jackson Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Jackson will be up against a hot Plainview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Plainview never let Kate Duncan Smith DAR get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

North Jackson not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over Pisgah. The win continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

North Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Plainview, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-7.

Plainview came out on top in a nail-biter against North Jackson when the teams last played back in March of 2022, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
