Baseball Recap: Catonsville Comes Up Short

Catonsville scored first but ultimately less than Archbishop Curley in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Friars by a score of 6-5. The Comets have struggled against the Friars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Gunner Gemmell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, Logan Meiller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Benhayon, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Catonsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Archbishop Curley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
