Basketball Recap: Serrano Comes Up Short

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Serrano was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 97-25 loss at the hands of the Hesperia Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Diamondbacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 802nd, while the Scorpions are ranked 88th).

Serrano's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Hesperia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Serrano will take on rival Apple Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hesperia is set to challenge their familiar foe Burroughs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
