Baseball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is West Muskingum's Fourth in Last Five Outings

After losing to Ridgewood the last time they met, West Muskingum decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tornadoes walked away with a 6-1 win over the Generals on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Sam Wiseman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Conner Hill, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West Muskingum has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Ridgewood, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, West Muskingum will welcome New Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ridgewood, they will head out on the road to take on Tuscarawas Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
