Basketball Game Preview: Palmerton Blue Bombers vs. Jim Thorpe Olympians

The Palmerton Blue Bombers will head out on the road to square off against the Jim Thorpe Olympians at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Palmerton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Southern Lehigh. The Blue Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jim Thorpe lost to Palisades on the road by a 58-43 margin on Saturday. The matchup marked the Olympians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Palmerton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jim Thorpe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Palmerton was able to grind out a solid victory over Jim Thorpe in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 56-46. Does Palmerton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jim Thorpe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
