Baseball Game Preview: Paris Coyotes vs. Scotland County Tigers

Paris hasn't had much luck against Scotland County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Coyotes will head out to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Paris will be strutting in after a victory while Scotland County will be coming in after a loss.

Paris will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against South Shelby on Tuesday. The Coyotes put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 17-2 win. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Scotland County suffered their closest defeat since April 13, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Canton by a score of 5-3. Scotland County's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Scotland County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Arnold, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Arnold has hit this season.

The victory snapped Paris' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Scotland County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Paris suffered a grim 23-5 defeat to Scotland County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
