Baseball Recap: Edgewater Victorious

Edgewater got themselves on the board against Belleview on Monday, but Belleview never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Rattlers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Nicholas Collins was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Edgewater now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Belleview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewater will square off against Orangewood Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangewood Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Edgewater's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Belleview, they will challenge Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
