Softball Recap: Sandia Prep Comes Up Short

Sandia Prep lost against Ruidoso on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sundevils lost 21-4 to the Warriors. The Sundevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mary Otero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base was her first of the season. Madeline Draszkiewicz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Sandia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Ruidoso, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Sandia Prep will square off against Estancia at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ruidoso, they will challenge Dexter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.8, the Demons 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
