Softball Recap: Jupiter's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jupiter had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Cardinal Newman on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Crusaders. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Jupiter's third in a row) raised their record to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cardinal Newman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Jupiter will head out to square off against Dwyer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cardinal Newman, they will take on Oxbridge Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the ThunderWolves have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
