Football Recap: Davidson Academy Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nashville Christian, Davidson Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-0 win over Varsity Opponent.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Davidson Academy, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Josh Bolden, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory got Davidson Academy back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Davidson Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Austin Achieve on the 29th.
