Basketball Recap: Sheyenne Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Sheyenne was the 64-59 winner over Fargo Davies when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sheyenne Mustangs took a 66-50 bruising from the Fargo Davies Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Eagles are ranked tenth).

Sheyenne's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-10. As for Fargo Davies, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Sheyenne will square off against Grand Forks Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Grand Forks Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fargo Davies, they will take on West Fargo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fargo Davies knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully West Fargo likes a good challenge.
