Basketball Recap: Wilmington Takes a Loss

Wilmington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 42-27 to the Goshen Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricane this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-33 back in December of 2024.

Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Goshen, their record is now 12-8.

Wilmington and Goshen could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Wilmington (ranked 480th) will meet Hillsboro (ranked 144th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Goshen will face off against Seton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 127 places (247 vs. 120).
