Volleyball Recap: South Harrison Victorious

The South Harrison Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Elkins Tigers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

South Harrison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-17, 25-20.

Kennedy Southern paced South Harrison's offense, picking up nine kills. Southern got some help from Delainey Lowther and her 12 assists. Southern was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

South Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Elkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, South Harrison and Elkins will both be playing Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
