Basketball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers and Emerald Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Rogers had to settle for second. They took a 79-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emerald Ridge Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 68-58 loss back in January.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Emerald Ridge, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Emerald Ridge beat Rogers by a score of 79-69 later that day.
