Recap: Hanks Knights vs. Weatherford Kangaroos
On Friday, Hanks came up short against Weatherford and fell 52-41. Hanks has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hanks' loss came despite strong showings from Elise (Jax) Alva and Daisy Fernandez. Alva scored 16 points, while Fernandez dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Fernandez scored a full 29.3% of Hanks' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Moore, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Hanks has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Weatherford, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Hanks will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Byron Nelson at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd. Byron Nelson is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Weatherford, they will face off against Midlothian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
