Softball Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Giles County Bobcats

Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Giles County Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 last Monday.

Zakiya Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Marshall County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Giles County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.
