Baseball Recap: Green Mountain Has No Trouble Against Wheat Ridge

While Green Mountain put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Wheat Ridge. The Rams put the hurt on the Farmers with a sharp 21-0 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Farmers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Caden Kelly was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Green Mountain got a massive performance out of Hudson Burke, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Burke a new career-high. Orlando King was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Green Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Green Mountain's record is now 13-8-1. As for Wheat Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.
