Volleyball Recap: Eastern Alamance Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Eastern Alamance Eagles came up short against the Riverside-Durham Pirates on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

Eastern Alamance actually scored more points across those four sets (92-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 11-25, 25-21.

Nureen Khan produced another solid effort getting 36 digs and seven assists for Riverside-Durham. Those seven assists gave Khan a new career-high. Liesl Rehder was another key player, getting ten assists and four digs.

Eastern Alamance's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Riverside-Durham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Alamance will face off against Eastern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverside-Durham, they will take on St. Mary's at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
