Volleyball Recap: Eastern Alamance Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Bailey Blalock and Gracie Jenkins + How To Watch

The Eastern Alamance Eagles came up short against the Riverside-Durham Pirates on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

Eastern Alamance actually scored more points across those four sets (92-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 11-25, 25-21.

Eastern Alamance's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gracie Jenkins, who had 12 digs and two assists, and Bailey Blalock, who had 11 digs and two aces. Jenkins is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Nureen Khan had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 36 digs and seven assists for Riverside-Durham. Those seven assists gave Khan a new career-high. Liesl Rehder was another key player, getting ten assists and four digs.

Eastern Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Riverside-Durham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Eastern Alamance has already played their next game (against Eastern Guilford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverside-Durham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against St. Mary's on the 25th.
