Highland has gone 8-2 against Lowell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Red Devils at 4:45 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Highland is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell 4-0 to Plainfield on Friday.

Highland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Washick, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lowell fell victim to Lake Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 10-0. The Red Devils have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Highland couldn't quite get it done against Lowell in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
