Baseball Recap: Panther Creek Takes Down Gainesville in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Panther Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Gainesville Leopards get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Panther Creek got a massive performance out of Graylyn Fry, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Fry has posted since back in March. Hunter Handley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Panther Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Panther Creek has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Gainesville, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-23.

As of now, neither Panther Creek nor the Leopards have any future games scheduled.
