Basketball Game Preview: Hedley Owls vs. Panhandle Christian Home Educators Warriors

The Hedley Owls will face off against the Panhandle Christian Home Educators Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Panhandle Christian Home Educators is headed out to face a Owls team ready to give their home crowd a win. Hedley fell 43-38 to Darrouzett on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Hedley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Payton Inman, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Josue Prieto, who shot 67% from the field en route to 15 points and seven boards. Brady Goodwin was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Panhandle Christian Home Educators strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 65-54 victory over Sanford-Fritch.

Hedley couldn't quite get it done against Panhandle Christian Home Educators when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as they fell 53-46. Can the Owls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
