Basketball Game Preview: Bluffton Tigers vs. Whitko Wildcats

The Bluffton Tigers and the Whitko Wildcats will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bluffton sitting on nine straight victories and Whitko on five.

Bluffton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers by a score of 57-47.

Konley Ault continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 for 11 on her way to 26 points. The game was her fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryn Schreiber, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Whitko took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 78-23 win over South Adams. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Whitko's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Bluffton, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.

Bluffton strolled past Whitko when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 58-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bluffton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
