Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge managed to slip by Del Oro the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Oak Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Jackson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Matt Burns also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Oak Ridge's record now sits at 6-11. As for Del Oro, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-6.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will be taking part in a tournament against Benicia at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Del Oro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on the 18th.
