Volleyball Recap: Mercy Takes a Loss

Mercy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Oakland-Craig Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monarchs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Gillian Bash paced Mercy's offense, picking up seven kills. Bash got some help from Lily Mills and her 11 assists.

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Oakland-Craig, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Mercy has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Skutt Catholic on the 23rd. As for Oakland-Craig, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Bend Central on the 23rd.
