Volleyball Game Preview: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes vs. Blue Ridge Knights

The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes will take on the Blue Ridge Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Georgetown-Ridge Farm came up short against Armstrong and fell 2-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Armstrong scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Cerro Gordo/Bement. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Broncos 25-21 in the first set.

Blue Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm beat Blue Ridge 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Buffaloes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
