Recap: Hoover Cardinals vs. Crawford Colts
If The Hoover Cardinals were riding high off their 42-6 takedown of the Clairemont Chieftains last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hoover fell just short of Crawford by a score of 46-44. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (42), Hoover still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Hoover still got an impressive performance from Sir Autry, who rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Autry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristian Noriega, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns.
Joseph Minchello was his usual excellent self, rushing for 279 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Phillip Huynh, who threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.
Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Crawford, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3.
Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crawford also has no future games currently scheduled.
