Soccer Recap: Springtown Comes Up Short

Springtown fell victim to Lake Dallas and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lake Dallas Falcons, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Porcupines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Falcons are ranked 186th).

This is the second loss in a row for Springtown and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1. As for Lake Dallas, they pushed their record up to 9-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Springtown will welcome Castleberry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Castleberry will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Springtown surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Dallas has already played their next contest (against Eagle Mountain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
