Softball Preview: Stagg Delta Kings vs. McNair Eagles

Stagg is 8-2 against McNair since April of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Stagg Delta Kings will head out on the road to square off against the McNair Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Stagg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Stagg will bounce into Friday's game after beating Bear Creek, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Stagg came out on top against Bear Creek by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday.

Aerie Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Garcia has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
