Basketball Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Henderson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 51-29 to the Polk County Wolverines. The Eagles have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, East Henderson still got an impressive performance from Mamie Hill, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Hill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Polk County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Staton led the charge by going 7-for-17 on her way to 20 points and seven boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Staton has scored at least a third of the Wolverines' points. Amiyah Waters was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

East Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Polk County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, East Henderson will be playing in front of their home fans against T.C. Roberson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Polk County, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against East Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on the 5th.
