Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield Central). They blew past the Eau Claire Shamrocks 14-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Shamrocks: they've now won nine in a row.

Kamari Jones was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Jones was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Treyvion Wilcox was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Caden Brown was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Fairfield Central's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Eau Claire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3-1.

Coming up, Fairfield Central will venture away from home to square off against Dreher at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eau Claire, they will take on Horse Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Shamrocks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Stallions have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
