Basketball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Grafton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Nicolet Knights, falling 94-58. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-56 back in December of 2024.

David Bolden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Nicolet, shooting 5-for-8 from deep and dropping a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. Those 13 boards gave Bolden a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rashaad Davis, who posted 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Grafton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Nicolet, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Grafton will host West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Bend West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Grafton likes a good challenge. As for Nicolet, they will challenge Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nicolet knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matchups -- so hopefully Cedarburg likes a good challenge.
