Volleyball Recap: Neodesha Takes a Loss

Neodesha was the 2-0 winner over Independence when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Streaks fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Neodesha's offense was headlined by Allison Stover and Brooklyn Newland, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Tiana Sanders and her 17 assists.

Neodesha's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Neodesha and Independence will both be playing St. Mary's-Colgan the next time they take the court. The Blue Streaks will host the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
