St. John is a perfect 9-0 against Malden Catholic since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pioneers will square off against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. St. John's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Malden Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, St. John's needed a bit of extra time to put away Chelmsford. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Meanwhile, Malden Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 22-2 to Boston College High.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Malden Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went St. John's way against Malden Catholic in their previous meeting back in April, as St. John's made off with a 15-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
