Meigs County has gone 8-2 against Sequoyah recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Meigs County Tigers will host the Sequoyah Chiefs at 4:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Meigs County barely beat Harriman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Meigs County never let Harriman get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Brody Goines and Adam Mason did most of the damage at the plate: Goines went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Mason went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave Mason a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was William Hogan, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Meigs County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harriman only posted an OBP of .300.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah got the win against Midway on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won three matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meigs County's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sequoyah, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-2.

Meigs County was able to grind out a solid win over Sequoyah when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. Does Meigs County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sequoyah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
