Recap: Quaker Valley Quakers vs. West Mifflin Titans

Even though the West Mifflin Titans scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, the Quaker Valley Quakers still came out on top. Quaker Valley took down the Titans 73-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Quaker Valley.

Quaker Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Washington, who scored 25 points. Washington continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Joey Coyle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten assists.

Quaker Valley pushed their record up to 9-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for West Mifflin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Quaker Valley will be playing at home against the Antelopes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Avonworth's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for West Mifflin, they will head out on the road to square off against the Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Allegheny presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Titans in Pennsylvania (the Gladiators are ranked 92nd, while the Titans are ranked 287th).
