Recap: Boyd Broncos vs. Rock Hill Blue Hawks
The Boyd Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 28-17 to Rock Hill. While losing is never fun, Boyd can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Rock Hill is ranked 166th).
Nick Wesloski threw for 149 yards and a touchdown. Benjamin Podor was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyler Wall rushed for 51 yards.
Rock Hill was led to victory by Jaylon Brown-Delgado and Christian Lewis. Brown-Delgado rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown, while Lewis rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Lewis was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.
Boyd's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Rock Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Boyd will head out on the road to face off against Braswell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Hill, they will be playing at home against Guyer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
